WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina, June 26 -- The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools issued the following news:
For 46 years, Patricia Douthit served Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools as a teacher assistant.
She joined the school system in 1973 as a teacher assistant at Union Cross Elementary. For the next 26 years, she served there.
For many of her years there, Peggy Tesh, who has since retired, was the principal at Union Cross.
