WASHINGTON, June 20 -- Rep. Charlie Crist, D-Florida, issued the following statement on the passage of an amendment, co-authored with Rep. Wasserman Schultz, D-Florida, that would block oil and gas drilling off the coasts of Florida, including within the Eastern Gulf of Mexico:
The amendment was added to the Interior Appropriations bill (H.R. 3055), passing the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 252-179.
