WASHINGTON, May 14 -- The Republican Jewish Coalition issued the following statement by National Chairman Sen. Norm Coleman on the one-year anniversary of the opening of the US Embassy in Jerusalem, Israel:

"One year ago today, I had the immense honor and pleasure of attending the opening of the US Embassy in Jerusalem, Israel. Thousands of people gathered to see the fulfillment of a pledge made more than 20 years ago, when Congress passed the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995.
