Catawba College alumnus Dr. Jonathan Slaughter '00, a Neonatologist and Research Principal Investigator at Nationwide Children's Hospital and The Ohio State University, was recently awarded a five-year, $3 million research grant from the National Institutes of Health to help neonatal caregivers better care for preterm infants through Early Prediction of Spontaneous Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) Closure . . .
