AKRON, Ohio, Nov. 19 -- Akron Community Foundation issued the following news release:

The Vernon L. Odom Fund of Akron Community Foundation is seeking grant proposals for programs that promote racial harmony and improve the quality of life within Summit County's minority communities.

Qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations should apply online by Dec. 15, 2018. A link to the grant application is available at www.akroncf.org/applyOdom.
