NORFOLK, Virginia, Nov. 15 -- People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals issued the following news release:
As winter storm Avery is affecting your area, animals, who can suffer from deadly frostbite and exposure, become dehydrated when water sources ice over, and die, are at risk. This past winter, there were at least 40 cold weather-related animal deaths--and these are just the ones that have been reported. Most are not.
