WASHINGTON, Nov. 7 -- The National Alliance for Public Charter Schools issued the following statement by President and CEO Nina Rees on the results of the midterm elections:
"We congratulate the newly elected and re-elected officials across the country. As these federal, state, and local officials turn their attention from campaigning to governing, we urge them to strengthen and support the vital role of public charter schools in our nation's education system.
