ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Illinois, Sept. 17 -- The American Academy of Pediatrics issued the following news release:

Infant walkers remain a dangerous and preventable source of injury for children, despite a U.S. mandatory safety standard, increased public awareness and fewer older walkers in the home, according to a study, "Infant Walker-Related Injuries in the United States (https://doi.org/10.1542/peds.2017-4332)," that will be published in the October 2018 issue of Pediatric . . .
