WASHINGTON, Sept. 17 -- The office of Sen. Angus S. King Jr., I-Maine, issued the following news release:
Today, U.S. Senator Angus King (I-Maine) spoke on the Senate Floor in support of the Addiction Treatment Access Improvement Act, which would permanently authorize nurse practitioners and physician assistants to prescribe medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorders. Though this legislation is not a part of the Senate opioid package that is expected to be taken up today . . .
