WASHINGTON, Aug. 16 -- The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs permanent subcommittee on Investigations issued the following statement by Ranking Member Thomas R. Carper, D-Delaware, at a hearing entitled "Oversight of Efforts to Protect Unaccompanied Alien Children from Human Trafficking and Abuse":
