Sen. Menendez Issues Statement on Indictment of Russian Intelligence Officers

NEWARK, New Jersey, July 13 -- Sen. Bob Menendez, D-New Jersey, ranking Democratic member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, issued the following statement after Special Counsel Robert Mueller indicted 12 Russian intelligence officers for hacking offenses related to the 2016 presidential campaign:
"In light of today's indictment, and if the President is going to persist in attending a summit with Vladimir Putin, he must take the forceful but necessary steps to stand up . . .
