TAMPA, Florida, March 22 -- The U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Florida, Maria Chapa Lopez, issued the following news release:
U.S. District Judge Charlene Edwards Honeywell has sentenced Michael Moore (37, Sarasota) to 15 years and 8 months in federal prison for possessing a firearm and ammunition as a convicted felon. The court also ordered him to forfeit the firearm and ammunition used in the offense.
A federal jury found Moore guilty on December 7, 2017.
