Disastrous 2018 Brings Record Manatee Deaths

WASHINGTON, March 8 -- Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility issued the following news release:

The first two months of 2018 have been especially deadly for Florida manatees, according to figures posted today by Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER). With more than 150 lost in just this year's first seven weeks, Florida is on a path to set a new annual record for manatee mortality.
