PALM BAY, Florida, Feb. 22 -- The St. John's River Water Management District issued the following news release:
The St. Johns River Water Management District is conducting a 1,741-acre prescribed fire Thursday in Brevard County. The purpose of the burn is to reduce hazardous fuel accumulations, maintain pyric ecosystems, and improve habitat. The fire was set by aerial ignition.
