RALEIGH, N.C., Sept. 8 -- The North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources' Division of Coastal Management issued the following news release:
The Buxton Woods Coastal Reserve on Hatteras Island has been reopened to visitors following an assessment of damage from Hurricane Earl.
Roads and trails on the reserve site required some clearing by N.C. Division of Coastal Management staff. They are now available for visitor use.
