DENVER, Sept. 7 -- Gov. Bill Ritter, D-Colo., has issued the following news release:
Gov. Ritter today congratulated three local companies for winning $91.3 million in clean coal grants from the U.S. Department of Energy for advanced techniques in capturing and storing carbon dioxide from fossil fuel combustion. The $71 million award to Eltron Research and Development Inc. in Boulder is the largest grant to date to a Colorado company from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act . . .
