MOREHEAD CITY, N.C., Sept. 3 -- The North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources issued the following news release:
Following reports of tires washing up on Atlantic Beach this morning following the impacts of Hurricane Earl, staff with the Division of Marine Fisheries this morning are assessing the situation and working with local officials to clear the tires from the beach.
