RALEIGH, N.C., Sept. 3 -- The North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources' Division of Coastal Management issued the following news release:
Four North Carolina National Estuarine Research Reserve and Coastal Reserve sites have been reopened to visitors following an assessment of damage from Hurricane Earl. None of the sites experienced any significant damage from the storm and are safe for visitors. The reopened sites are:
