RALEIGH, N.C., Sept. 1 -- The North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources issued the following news release:
Due to the threat of severe weather from Hurricane Earl, the N.C. Coastal Resources Commission has decided to reschedule Thursday's workshop intended to discuss the status of rules governing sandbag use on the North Carolina oceanfront.
The meeting had been scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday in the Soil and Water auditorium at the N.C. Coop . . .
