RALEIGH, N.C., Sept. 2 -- The North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources issued the following news release:
The flooding and winds that accompany hurricanes have been known to cause major problems with septic systems in areas in the storm's path, and Hurricane Earl may inflict similar damage.
