RALEIGH, N.C., Sept. 1 -- The North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources' Division of Coastal Management issued the following news release:
Due to the threat of severe weather from Hurricane Earl, the N.C. Coastal Resources Commission has decided to cancel a Sept. 2 workshop intended to discuss the current status of rules governing sandbag use on the N.C. oceanfront.
