CHARLOTTE, N.C., Aug. 30 -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Utilities issued the following news release:
Mecklenburg Utilities successfully collected and treated more than 30 billion gallons of the community's wastewater during the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2010. Plants earned performance awards while pipe crews maintained and improved the infrastructure and responded to nine fewer wastewater overflows.
