NEW DELHI, Aug. 26 -- The government of India issued the following news release from the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers:

India has put in place a robust regulatory framework to deal with the disasters and accidents in the chemical industries. The regulatory framework for ensuring chemical (industrial) safety is covered under various Acts and Rules as given below:-
