OKLAHOMA CITY, Aug. 26 -- The Oklahoma Department of Education issued the following weekly message from the state superintendent:
For many in my generation, the image of a school bully was akin to the character of Lumpy Rutherford or even Eddie Haskell from Leave it to Beaver. Bullies back then swiped lunch money, passed hateful notes or played cruel practical jokes on unsuspecting children.
