ALBANY, N.Y., Aug. 26 -- Gov. David Paterson, D-N.Y., issued the following news release:
Governor David A. Paterson today opened the 164th Great New York State Fair in Syracuse, the oldest event of its kind in the country. The Fair features more than 375 acres of exhibits, rides, food and entertainment over a 12-day period from August 26th through Labor Day, Monday, September 6th.
