RALEIGH, N.C., Aug. 23 -- The North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources issued the following news release:
Bladen Lakes State Forest will be the backdrop for an event Tuesday celebrating more than $6.8 million state forestry officials have received through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to restore longleaf pine forests, reduce the spread of wildfires and protect water quality.
