FORT COLLINS, Colo., Aug. 23 -- Larimer County issued the following news release:
Child of player in Hockey League where meningococcal outbreak occurred develops disease, but not severe illness
The child of a player in the local hockey association where a meningococcal outbreak occurred was recently treated with intravenous antibiotics for meningococcal infection. The child never developed a life-threatening illness.
