AUGUSTA, Maine, Aug. 20 -- The Maine Department of Health and Human Services issued the following news release:
Wildlife Services (WS), a program within the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, will distribute oral rabies vaccine baits beginning on or about August 23 through August 26 in northeastern Maine as part of ongoing cooperative rabies control efforts aimed at reducing raccoon rabies.
