County's Utility Division Reports Sewage Spill at Burdens Creek

DURHAM, N.C., Aug. 19 -- Durham County issued the following news release:
The Utility Division of the Durham County Engineering Department reported approximately 25,000 gallons of sewage spilled from a sanitary sewer line and discharged into an unnamed tributary of Burdens Creek in the near vicinity of the Triangle Expressway construction project between Hopson Road and NC147. The sewage spill was caused by an interconnect pipe failure.
On the afternoon of August 17 . . .
