NEW DELHI, Aug. 18 - The government of India issued the following news release from the Ministry of Defence:
Government constantly reviews the security environment and accordingly decide induction of appropriate equipment and platforms including submarines for security of our maritime interest. It will not be in the interest of national security to disclose the exact number of the submarines.
