PEMBROKE, N.C., Aug. 18 -- The University of North Carolina-Pembroke issued the following news release:
A $1.4 million grant for UNC Pembroke's Student Support Services program was awarded in early August by the U.S. Department of Education.
The funding is for five years and begins on September 1. It will serve 200 students per year.
