Speaker Donovan Says Rail Funding Key to Connecticut's Economic Future

HARTFORD, Conn., Aug. 17 -- Connecticut State Rep. Christopher G. Donovan, D-84th District, issued the following news release:

Long-time commuter rail advocate House Speaker Christopher G. Donovan (D-Meriden) applauded today's approval by the State Bond Commission of $260 million toward a New Haven-Hartford-Springfield high speed rail line (http://www.housedems.ct.gov/Donovan/pubs/NHHS_rail_2010.pdf), saying it would create jobs, spur economic growth and help the environment. . . .
