PHOENIX, Aug. 18 -- Arizona State Senate Republican legislators issued the following news release:
On August 11 and 12 eleven of us went to Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Texas to meet and discuss the F-35. I went at my own expense.
For openers the military goal was a single fighter airframe that with variations could meet the needs of the Air Force, Marines and Navy. This would permit the use of many interchangeable parts for mechanical simplicity and cost savings. . . .
