MIAMI, Aug. 18 -- The Miami-Dade County Public Schools issued the following news release:
Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho, Mayor Don Slesnick, and other elected and appointed dignitaries, school administrators, and community leaders participated this morning in a ribbon-cutting ceremony launching the conversion of Coral Gables Elementary into the Coral Gables K-8 Preparatory Academy scheduled to open its doors for operation in time for the 2010-2011 school year.
