CARDIFF, WALES, Aug. 16 -- The Cardiff Council issued the following news release:
Cardiff has successfully retained its Fairtrade city status for a further two years, following the successful renewal application submitted to the Fairtrade Foundation.
The city was originally declared a Fairtrade city on March 1, 2004 and in doing so became the world's first ever Fairtrade capital city.
