ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Aug. 17 -- Gov. Bill Richardson, D-N.M., issued the following news release:
Governor Bill Richardson today announced he is releasing $300,000 to help complete new water lines in Albuquerque's South Valley. The discretionary award from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act will go to build new water lines to southwestern Bernalillo County. The improvements will increase water delivery and enhance fire protection.
