WASHINGTON, July 21 -- The ranking member of the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee issued the following news release:
Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Joe Lieberman, ID-Conn., and Ranking Member Susan Collins, R-Me., Wednesday told a top Department of Homeland Security (DHS) official that DHS' long range strategic plans, while helpful in setting the Department's top-level priorities, were too broad and unspecific.
