In commemoration of Equal Pay Day, Congresswoman Donna F. Edwards (D-MD) released the following statement highlighting the commitment of the 111th Congress to pay equity while urging all Americans to work together to close the wage gap.
"In the forty-seven years since President Kennedy signed the Equal Pay Act into law women still earn less than 80 cents for every dollar ear . . .
