HARTFORD, Conn., July 1 -- Connecticut State Senate Democrats issued the following news release:
"Last month Democrats in the General Assembly worked with Gov. Rell to repeal the increase of the Gross Receipts tax, scheduled to take effect today. This will translate into a savings for motorists of about two to four cents on a gallon of gas. While this certainly won't reduce prices from their record highs, it will help to contain increases, and that is vital at a time when fam . . .
