SAN DIEGO, Aug. 28 -- The city of San Diego Department of Environmental Services issued the following news release:
The City of San Diego will be receiving funds and technical support from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) as part of the agency's Solar America Cities program. San Diego will receive a $200,000 grant to fund the integration of solar power into city facilities and to encourage other cities across the country to follow suit.
