ANCHORAGE, Alaska, Aug. 7 -- Sen. Ted Stevens, R-Alaska, who is seeking re-election to the U.S. Senate, issued the following campaign news release:
Senator Ted Stevens and long-time friend and colleague Senator Dan Inouye (D-Hawaii) have wrapped up several days together in Alaska. Although the two are from opposing political parties, their bond and friendship runs deep. For years, the two Senators have supported each other, and that tradition continued this week in Alaska.
