DES PLAINES, Ill., Aug. 19 -- The Property Casualty Insurers Association of America issued the following news release:
Departing Alabama Insurance Commissioner Walter A. Bell will join Swiss Re America Holding Corp. as chairman, effective Sept. 2, providing supervisory governance for all of Swiss Re's businesses in North America and Latin America.
Bell, who had been Alabama's top insurance regulator since January 2003, announced his departure from that spot Aug. 11. . . .
