SPOKANE, Wash., Sept. 6 -- The Spokane Public Schools issued the following news release:
A $1.3 million National Initiative Grant from the USDA will allow a community team to evaluate three ways to combat obesity with nearly 5,000 students from Spokane Public Schools' middle schools.
The team, headed by Washington State University's Kenn Daratha and Ruth Bindler, also includes Sue Butkus, Tom Power and John Roll from WSU; Amy Lutz and Doug Wordell from Spokane Publ . . .
