BLS: Payroll Employment Down in 31 States in March 2020
WASHINGTON, April 23 -- The U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics issued the following article from the Economics Daily: Nonfarm payroll employment decreased significantly in 31 states in March 2020. The largest percentage declines occurred in Louisiana and Rhode Island (-1.1 percent each), followed by Missouri and Vermont (-0.9 percent each). USDA: Vermont Added to Innovative SNAP Online Pilot Program
WASHINGTON, April 25 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture issued the following news release: U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue announced approval of a request from Vermont to provide online purchasing of food to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) households.
