WASHINGTON, April 16 -- Rep. Sam Graves, R-Mo., has introduced legislation (H.R. 6491) to amend the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965 "to provide for a high-speed broadband deployment initiative." The bill was introduced on April 14 and was co-sponsored by Rep. John Katko, R-N.Y. It was jointly referred to the House Transportation and Infrastructure and Financial Services committees.
