ACLU of Rhode Island Attorneys Intervene in Contempt Case Against RI Department of Corrections
PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island, Nov. 25 -- The American Civil Liberties Union of Rhode Island issued the following news release:
ACLU of Rhode Island cooperating attorneys have intervened in an inmate's pro se legal action seeking to hold the state Department of Corrections (DOC) in contempt of court for violating a 47-year old consent decree that established minimum standards for the discipline and classification of inmates at the ACI.

National Governors Association to Work With 5 States on Improving Business Regulations
WASHINGTON, Nov. 26 -- The National Governors Association issued the following news release:
The National Governors Association (NGA) will work with five states - Colorado, Alaska, Delaware, Rhode Island and Tennessee - to help them improve their business regulatory processes to promote economic development, NGA announced. This work will be completed in partnership with The Pew Charitable Trusts.
