PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island, July 24 -- The U.S. Attorney for the District of Rhode Island, Aaron L. Weisman, issued the following news release:
A Pawtucket man who collected approximately $186,000 on Social Security disability insurance benefits while at the same time earning nearly $400,000 in wages as a house painter pleaded guilty today in federal court to fraud and theft charges.

U.S. Naval War College Arctic Scholars Group Meets to Write Manual on Security
NEWPORT, Rhode Island, July 22 -- The Naval War College issued the following news:
A group of authors from the Newport Arctic Scholars Initiative gathered at U.S. Naval War College from July 15-19 to complete the draft version of the Newport Manual on Arctic Security.
The Manual sets forth principles for maintaining the Arctic as a peaceful and prosperous region. Its content was developed over several conferences attended by officials from seven Arctic nations.
