Rep. Bernice-Johnson Introduces Bill to Understand Causes of Sexual Harassment
WASHINGTON, Oct. 8 -- Rep. Eddie Bernice-Johnson, D-Texas, has introduced legislation (H.R. 7031) to "provide for research to better understand the causes and consequences of sexual harassment affecting individuals in the scientific workforce and to examine policies to reduce the prevalence and negative impact of such harassment." Sen. Klobuchar Introduces Bill on Nonhighway Recreational Fuel Taxes
WASHINGTON, Oct. 13 -- Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., has introduced legislation (S. 3604) to "require a study to determine the best available estimate of the total amount of nonhighway recreational fuel taxes received by the Secretary of the Treasury." The bill was introduced on Oct. 11 and was co-sponsored by Sens. James Risch, R-Idaho, Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., and Richard Burr, R-N.C.
