ACLU: City of Ocala's Enforcement of Its Open Lodging Ordinance Ruled Unconstitutional for Criminalizing Homelessness
OCALA, Florida, Feb. 9 -- The American Civil Liberties Union of Florida issued the following news release on Feb. 8, 2021 : Three Ocala residents who are experiencing homelessness and thus had been repeatedly arrested under the city's open lodging ordinance today won their case challenging the ordinance's constitutionality when U.S. District Court Judge James S.
