WASHINGTON, Jan. 15 -- Rep. James E. Clyburn, D-S.C., has introduced legislation (H.R. 301) to amend title 36, U.S. Code, "to establish the composition known as Lift Every Voice and Sing as the national hymn of the U.S." The bill was introduced on Jan. 13 and has 39 co-sponsors.
